Media HDD - THIS is the one I've got and it is superb. D/L a movie via a torrent and it plays video via component and audio via digital coax. It also has scart and composite, along with stereo analogue audio. It is restricted in file size to 4gb, and 576 pixels high, but outputs it upscaled to 720p. There are some newer ones that have got HDMI and support 1080p and H.264 (or whatever it is). I'm well impressed with mine and have been transferring all the family photos and a load of MP3's onto it too. You can also copy across the 'videoTS' folder from a DVD and play that, although copy protection tries to spoil your fun (on my Mac I just clicked cancel and dragged it over a second time and it copied it ).

I use 2 types one is a "popcorn hour" and does full MKV files and the other is an "MVIX player" Each are as good as each other but the popcorn hour steals the deal for the MKV files
