Default Fuel shortages at petrol stations in the UK?

Has the current panic buying led to shortages in the SE of England as well as in Scotland?

More queues on forecourts? Numpties panic buying?

Or is it business as usual?

I drove from East Sussex to Central London today and didn't see any shortages. I did see petrol at 110.9 though!

£1.10.9 sounds like a bargain, I'm currently paying £1.29 ltr.

If everyone just shuts the **** up about fuel shortages, then there won't be a problem.

How very true. I'm going to be one of those panic buyers today . I'm going on holiday next week to the Lakes so I do need Petrol. I just dare not leave tanking up untill Sunday just incase every man & his dog starts filling up and drains the tanks.

This is crazy, when the refinery in Coryton (Essex) had a big fire at the end of last year, the whole refinery was shutdown for about 2 months, there were no shortages then and that refinery supplies a huge percentage of the fuel for the South East. There was no media hype about fuel shortages, there was no panic buying and everything was fine, no one even noticed a difference!

Its a big scam really, if the news didnt talk about it then nobody would panic and there would be no panic buyers filling up and causing shortages.
Pain in the **** where i live cos there's only 2 places up here that do super unleaded and one completely ran out of petrol yesterday.
If i do run out of petrol at least i'll have a good reason to have the car off the road to do some work on it

There were queues yesterday in Darlington (North East) at some garages. Where the queues were present, they were still minimal. Still, having a scoob I'm sure I'll be back shortly if I decide to go for a drive
