SkyHD using HDMI - change channels in another room
We have SkyHD in one room feeding a TV, and use an HDMI splitter to pipe it into my projector, located in another room - my den.
Is there any solutions that will let me use a 2nd remote control, in my den to control the SkyHD box in the other room?
Obviously with the old coax cabling you could use a magic eye, but I'm using HDMI cabling this time around.
Can I use HDMI for the Audio/Video and ALSO use coax+magic eye for the remote ?
Or is there a better way ?

As far as I know the magic eye (or similar) should still work. One of my friends has a similar set up but using Scart. AFAIK he doesn't have a coax cable connected anywhere in his system.
Maybe also ask the question on avforums.com There will defo be someone on there who knows for sure.

We use Digieye (a "wireless remote extender") - brilliant piece of kit that receives the IR signal from your remote at one end, fires it to a receiver next to your sky box, converts back to IR and projects it into the box. We have one receiver and three sender units around the house with extra sky remotes in each room - works well even over long distances and through several walls (as long as our toddler hasn't been near the receiver and turned it away from the sky box!).
Would be perfect for what you're trying to do.
