This is Boris Johnson answer to a question i put to him over the Congestion Charge.

Not the answer i completely wanted but maybe a step in the right direction - you tell me?

Tis the answer I was expecting to read, and in fairness probably about the only amicable solution at this stage.

Monthy payment is a big step, with £92m taken in penalty charges last year, it seems its a bit of a frantic rush for some, which is fair enough.

He is also against more cars being allowed in for free. As the number of "exempt" cars increase, the congestion will increase, as will the polution. A charge for some and not for others is not a solution to congestion.
