Not a tv boff really but after a HD TV, 32inch ish and want to spend £500ish.

can i get anything decent, maybe 1080i/1080p for that sort of cash?

Recommendations are welcome.

Get the best Sony, Panasonic or Samsung you can find for that cash and you won't go far wrong.

Try and stretch to a 42 if your room can take it and you can manage to sit a good 8 to 10ft away from it...

You can get some great 1080 panels for that sort of money and with HD content becoming more available., I think you'll regret not getting the bigger panel when you had the chance..

Sharp are about the only mainstream manafacture who make a 32" in 1080P. General rule of thumb is u don't need it at that size.

Panasonic or Toshiba for me.
