Hi folks,
I have a thread on computer related but need to find out something quick.I have managed to get my new ethernet cable and connected it inot the back of my ps3 and comp. I go to test the connection on the ps3 and it starts of by obtaining my ip adrress then a few moments later, as it is trying to connect says it has failed,what else can i do.I have set my internet on the computer to allow others to share and everything else,please help ASAP

Did you attach the RJ45's on the cable yourself ?

no i ordered the cable of the internet,3 metre one,i was advised of from my other htread on computer related to buy that one.i just find it strange that it says it's obtaianing an ip address then failing to connect. what else am i doing wrong for it not to connect
