Default Man found guilty of sending envelope in the post!

A man sent a 'bulky envelope' for a parking ticket to a police station and gets fined for breach of the peace.

BBC NEWS | Scotland | North East/N Isles | Bomb scare over speeding ticket

Surely it is not illegal to send an envelope in the post Surely, how the police station react to receiving such an envelope is down to them, not the sender.

Maybe he needed a better lawyer

Yes, you're correct, but remember this is the police so they are above the law.

When the incident happened last year even the police said: "This incident is being treated as a non-criminal matter."

BBC NEWS | Scotland | North East/N Isles | Package alert as minister visits

So what happened to make it go to the sheriff? Smacks of example setting

he did it to **** them off and it back fired

The only thing he lacked was vision.

Personally, I would have sent them a paving slap along with a cheque for their fine.

I'm well minded to start sending bulky packages to the judge - daft tw*t.

The whole things shows just how stupid the plods and the CPS are.
