Have been listening to it for just over a week and it's pretty much Tubular Bells for an orchestra.
It's a difficult first listen and could have been mixed better IMO but it kinda gets under your skin and grows on you.
If you are an Oldfield fan and like a bit of orchestral/film score type music then it's worth a listen.

He needs to lay off the Tubular Bells, the first one was fantastic, the second on ok and the third pointless, this is just more of the sound, I have a mate who does music "In the Style of" for corporate customers who want to convey something but dont want to pay the royalties on the original, the subsequent Tubular Bells are like that, sounds like Tubular Bells with a few notes changed.

I dont know really, not many people are doing anything like tubular bells really
I got Songs of the Distant Earth, and Voyager and enjoyed both of those, I have Tub Bells & Hergst Ridge on original Vinyl, and Tub 1, 2 and 3 on CD, and Millenium Bell which is live
I think with Tub II, it was more what he wanted Tub I to be like, but technology wasnt as good back in the day of Tub I
The rest of the Tub series more money making than anything else, still enjoyed them all though
