Chinese Grand Prix - anyone been?
Have just realised that the first leg of the "Mr and Mrs MartinM's round the world in 8 weeks tour" lands in Beijing at 0930 on Sunday 19 October ie the morning of the Grand Prix. A complete coincidence (i.e didn't book it to be so), but might take the opportunity as I've never been to a GP anywhere. So...
- where is the circuit with respect to the airport?
- what time would it start?
- is it likely to be megabucks for 1 day tickets (tickets not yet available on www.f1.com)?
- is it likely to be any good? - as a circuit that is, who knows what the championship positions will be, but it is the last race....

I used this firm for my tickets for Bahrain last year. They were superb and arranged for the tickets to be waiting for me when I arrived at the airport.

The races always start at 1pm regardless of the country they are in and in China the circuit is 30 mins from Hong Qiao and 50 minutes from Pudong (both by taxi).
It's approx 40 mins from the centre of Shanghai.
It looks a good circuit to spectate from but the racing all depends on the state of the championship by the time they get there. Could be all over by China.
BTW - Brazil is the last race of this years season
