Amazon customer services
Called Amazon, our 10 month old Samsung has developed a fualt, well two, speakers are sounding 'farty' on music and thin vertical white parts of the image flash white/black.
So, call Amazon after checking my account to she wwhen i purchased nad order number, all there and easy so far - get through on the call back - to my mobils as i was on the way out - still all good.
speak to an Irish chap (Irish call centre?) and he askes what is wrong, i explain, he arranges for a new one to bwe shiipped out by DHL.
Easy and no hastle.
Amazon at the time where second cheapest by far when i bought, the only people cheaper where an outfit i havd never, ever heard of.

I had a problem with my daughters MP3 player after she'd had it for 10 months. Rang Amazon, they asked me to send it back then gave me a full refund immediately.

You got lucky!
Last summer (I think) I ordered a electric toothbrush. 2 turned up in separate boxes. When I opened the other box amd it was someone elses order with my address on the box. Being an honest sort of chap decided to let them know rather than just keep it.
FFS the messing around. Firstly theyre customer services wouldnt even acknowledge the issue, the online "support" is ****! then they wanted me to send it back at my cost and they'd refund it when they recieved it. After 10 days of pissing about they finally agreed to send Royal Mail to me to retrieve it!
And whilst on the subject of Amazon! why do they advertise things in stock, then you get a message saying 4-6 weeks yet they're own 3rd party sellers have the item IN stock and cheaper?!?
I rate them marginally ahead of Play.com because every single cd I orderd from Play had a damaged box! (the centre that holds the disc in place)
