Angry Readymix cement, mutter, mutter, windscreen, mutter, mutter!

Blasted lorry I was following went over a bump, three large-ish pebbles dislodged from it, and ALL THREE smacked lumps out of my front screen.

Insured, but £50 excess I wasn't banking on paying this month

Slowing for a roundabout, so around two car-lengths.

The pebbles bounced once on the road, and once on my windscreen I wouldn't have believed that three pebbles could ALL hit within around 15cm of each other. Brilliant grouping, grrrrrrrrrr.

Something similar happened to my sister years ago. A bit more damage than just the screen, but she pursued the company and finally got the money to repair the bonnet and screen.

TBH though, the amount of effort and grief it took, I'd not bother for £50.

Maybe PSLewis will take the case on for you, he's available now he's finished with Curry's.

It may be hard to accept, but i'm sure you'd rather have had all three on the screen, rather than one on the bonnet, one on the screen, and one on the roof!!!

I think the law states that he would be responsible for the damage to your screen by dropping part of an insecure load off the lorry. Did you get his details?

oh without doubt its the fault of the lorry driver for having an insecure load. You could pursue him for damages to your car, and the police could prosecute.

As always, the issue is getting the evidence

IF you did get his details, and you can be bothered, you could contact your insurance company. Assuming you have legal cover they could start to chase this up for you.
