Default I hadn't realised how bad it's got!

As some of you may know from previous rows with webbie, much of my time is spent involved with WAI (Web Accessibility Initiative) and other web standards relating to accessibility and ensuring those that have disabilities of some kind are not disadvantaged.

I use Opera quite a bit as it allows me to switch stuff on and off, this is how SN usually looks to me, not very pretty but welcome to my world!

I was updating the proxy at home tonight while browsing with Maxthon (Geko engine), my other browser of choice. and saw this.

I thought SN was broken for a bit as it was all advertising and spangley bollox and I couldn't find the actual content.

Anyway, proxy updated and normality restored

I'm sure webby will complain, but I've paid my membership so at least I'm contributing

That's exactly what my Firefox browsing experience looks like on my lappy. Except minus the voting thumbs! Very clean and tidy. Nice!

That's nothing, I probably have 50-60 on the go at work, which is why I use Maxthon and Opera. IE7 gets grumpy and was un-installed along with Vista and Office 2007!

Yeah, I'm another who saw one ad to many (not just this site). I've gone down the route of Ad Block Plus in firefox. Works great for facebook too. I had the misfortune of seeing facebook on a friends computer and it was just ad central

I wonder how many webmasters realise that accessibility is mandatory, and they could be prosecuted under the DDA for discrimination if they fail to take reasonable action...

admitting to running an adblocker on this website is punishable by having webby removed 12k posts from your post count and sending you a PM

Thanks a lot Micky

Do you have any idea how much time and effort goes into keeping scoobynet going?

Every page you download costs us money. All we ask is that you allow ads to be shown on the page so we can earn money to pay for that page. The ads do you ABSOLUTELY NO harm whatsoever, and you know that.

And on top of that you were advertising your own company on your profile. I may be beating my head against a brick wall here, but I really will be stunned if none of the above means anything to you at all.
you have been warned

Online adds don't really do anything for me so I don't mind if they are there or not.

I'm a cheapskate so if I can't find what I want on ebay, I don't buy it
