Default Scarifying.....

Think about getting a lawn scarifier. Any comments or recommendations?

I had one years ago and ended up with a burnt-out motor but it did seem to improve the lawn before it became a heavy smoker

Not a huge area of lawn but more than I want to rake

Limited budget so not the Miele version.

Thanks, dl

Don't buy - hire one when you need it.

The difference in the weight, the quality and the job they do is chalk and cheese.

Prepare your lawn first using a good mosskiller, weed and feed, and let that do its work.

Then nip down to the hire centre early in the day and you should have the machine back to them by close of play unless you've got acres!

Re-seed any resulting bare patches and in two weeks time your lawn will be looking tickety boo.
