Yeah, I bought one years ago (Classic Impreza) and had loads of fun with it.
At least with Petrol versions you can just top it up and away you go. No need to charge batteries etc. The only thing you need to charge is the starter.
Paid around £250 from a local model shop and spent 2 nights building it.
Keep meaning to buy a Helicopter

I have a 'Hot Bodies Lightening'
Great fun, and very quick
Like someone already said, nitro buggies can go pretty much anywhere, so you unlike tarmac cars, you don't have to scout about for ages looking for somewhere to use it
They are somewhat noisy things tho, if you haven't heard one in the flesh, id go see one in action, as this can put some people off, i just personally think it adds to the fun
Theres a cool RC track up Preston way that ive been meaning to take it for ages, just not got round it, as i just take it to the park instead, or BMX track

You sure you mean Petrol cos nearly all those above are Nitro fuelled?
If you do mean Nitro engined ones then the Hobao Hypet ST RTR is a fantastic bit of kit you wont go far wrong with.
One of the toughest truggies out of the box I know of.
I would love to recommend my HPI Hellfire but I'd get slated as its supposed to be weak.
I however disagree

Hopefully you can see this without registering but hell, if you are going to get a model then Max bashing is probably the place to ask any questions anyway...
Hyper ST still voted best truggy 2007

Kyosho Landmax do a kit based on the Inferno, but with a selection of bodies including a WRX body. It's 1/8th scale, so it's BIG! Comes with a 4.5cc motor with a pull starter. I have one and it's insane even when not properly tuned.
