My valentines meal
Other half has wanted to go to this restaurant for a while, so I booked a table a couple of weeks ago, and was really looking forward to it.
Had a few drinks at the bar area, then got our table.
First course went well, had champagne etc
Second course is served, and the first fork full I try, I hear an alarming crunching sound, not wanting to gob the lot out I discreetely pick a bit out - facking glass !!, at this point the whole mouthful comes out in a tissue, I had a mouth full of glass.
On closer inspection my risotto seems to have been garnished with light bulb glass
Totally spoilt the night, as I lost the will to eat anything else, as did the other half.

I am assuming 3 things:-
1. You complained
2. The food was free
3. You are now talking to Lawyers about compensation
I always avoid restaurants on Valentines night ... crap food, big prices and a don't care attitude as they could have sold your table 3 times over .......

Really sorry to hear that cookie
Its not as if you can really leave and go for an emergency Burger King either. Its a hard sell to take a gf to Burger King at the best of times, let alone on Valentines night

FFS, Compensation, Be a real man, just kick off in the resteraunt, get your meals for free and a drink on the house and call it a bad experience.
Compensation is for council estate residents
p.s. unlucky Cookie, I know youve been thinking about last night for a while

I very much doubt it
No real injury other than possible light tissue injury and some discomfort/inconvenience. Might give him a John Lewis voucher but sounds like champagne etc was already given foc.
Nasty experience though it was, not worth the trouble of following through

A good point, however my main concern at the ime was my table, and did not want to embarass the girlfriend by making too much of a fuss.
Maybe I should have done,
