Default Valentines Day

Women are so hard to please arnt they?

She is always whinging at me about being out either playing football, playing poker, at the gym, snooker or golf. So i decided we should spend a bit of time together. I booked us a table for two last night, but even that didnt go down very well. After two hours she had only potted two reds

Thought Id get the joke in before everyone else comes out with the one we hear every day about the bag and belt

Seriously though, Im actually single at the minute so feel free to buy me something nice

This is my first single Valentines day for as long as I can remember. Am quite like the not having to think of something buy, not having to panic because I have forgotten to book a resturant and not suffering open wallet surgery at the same time.

You don't have to be single for this, Pete. All you need is a lady who understands the commercial crap Valentines day represents.

I'm going to get her a pair of slippers and a vibrator.

If she doesn't like the slippers, she can go f**k herself!

If i could get a babysitter, the wifey would love to shoot some pool.

Nice meal in and a bottle of poo will do the trick. Maybe pages 4-8 of the karma sutra.

Well I nearly fell out of my chair last night we never normally bother with it, my wife being a florist knows what a total rip off it can be, their was an advert on T.V. advertising a C.D. about the teenage girls magazine JACKIE, and she said I'd love that for valentines day, so soppy here went and bought it lunch time for her, It's got all the songs on it when we got together at 14 and she was a big David Cassidy fan in her younger days and the 2 songs she liked are on it, christ talk about feel old
Cheers

Pfft! You might *think* they do - But underneath is a seething pot of pent up rage at every rose they see a friend swooning over that you haven't bought them.

Believe me Pete, I know. As long as her norks get a regular work out she's not bothered. Not the norm, granted, but then that's why she's with me.

You barstool!
We know that it's all comercial cr@ap and all that, but you see, some lovers are more romantic and expressive than others. Ask those "understanding" ladies too. They will prefer this romanticism in you to offer them a little something they appreciate, if not Tajmahal. This little something ( not just on VD, mind!) just to say that you love them makes a hell of a difference, you know!

After 8 years, the misses has decided its her turn to take me for dinner.

Bit of a turn up tbh.

Thanks to IIRC Snazy I've got a custom card from Moonpig and thanks to Tesco I've got an Orchid in a posh vase.

You don't need a day where you are expected to do something. If you have anything about you then every day is the day.

I have done that many a times! I like to please but I like to be pleased too!

It shouldn't be just up to men to make all the effort, anyway.

I do understand that. That's why I said "Not just on Valentines day, mind!" Some may experience the pressure of expectations on such occasions , as expectation puts burden on people, whereas, expressing your love through little gifts for someone should be one's pleasure, not pressure. However, it could be fun to exchange pressures as long as they are reasonable IMO. Oh, the challenge to make someone feel special, and see that smile on their face! What a feeling!
