Anyone watching the gene program?

Michelle, yes it was, I only caught it half way through but of what I saw it was very good, last weeks was about stem cells and how they can grow into any kind of cell that the body has, meaning that it may be possible to make a disabled person walk again. This weeks was on how for instance there are 2 different types of gene 17, and depending on which one you have, regulates how daring you are, then there was a video of crazy people jumping off cliffs?
Hope that made sense

quite amazing - there was a family with incorrectly formed fingers - The problem was pinpointed to a single reversed protein. The trait has been present in the family for 400 years or something

It was superb although the testing on soldiers looking at their genes and isolating the ones that explained why some were better at long distanct running than others started to look a bit more sinister.
The family was interesting just one letter was wrong in the squence and it has a family 'curse' for the last 400-500 years!
Really intested right back to when DNA was worked out and identified the four letter code.
A highly complex subject presented in such a way it was understandable without being patronising, not that easy to carry out well.
