Bit of a long story, but I need something that has an S-VHS output on it. Looks like this:
A Super VHS Video recorder falls into this category.

Thanks for the input Sonic. I'm trying to find someone who has one, but has no use for it.
Checked eBay, of the few there are, the sellers don't show any photos of the outputs.

cheers mate, but I've tried an adapter like that without success. The best thing would be a S-VHS video recorder that must has the S-VHS output on the back.

Not sure if its what your after....
we have a combined DVD / VHS recorder...
we used to output the signal to the TV via S-VHS lead, and seperate phono,s for the audio.
It may also have a 5.1 decoder onboard as well (with the 6 seperate outputs)
thats the good bit.....
bad bit.....e put it away as the heads on he vhs were clogged, it may just need a bit of pro cleaning....
how soon do you need it know-need it?
i,m away for the weekend, but if its what your after could have a look next week...

Loads of equipment has S-video output, you don't need an S-VHS machine just for that. Most DVD players can deliver S-video via the SCART connector, you just need the right cable and to configure it for S-video rather than composite as they share a pin on the connector. My laptop has exactly the port you're looking for on it too - maybe you could get a PC graphics card with TV-out, like Sapphire Radeon 9250 128M DDR VGA TVO DVI-I AGP Graphics Card - Ebuyer
You can also get a passive in-line converter which will separate out the chrominance signal from composite video - I use one to connect my VHS machine into my home cinema setup which is all S-video based. See Maplin > S-VHS/Composite Video Convertor
