Default Mountain bike chain for Exage 300 LX?

Chain on my old "get me to work bike" has lost part of one link (central round bit has gone). It's an Exage 300 LX rear derailieur, 7 speed rear hub. Where can I get a replacement chain? Or can I remove a single link from existing chain? And where can I get a chain link removal tool?

Lots of questions, sorry - but I know there's a fair few bikers on here!

Thanks, Richard

Shimano chain, oh dear should have gone sram.

Btw a review says the chain is 104 links not 114 like most so you may find yourself short.
