Default question for the fellow artists...

thats pencil/drawing artists

right, i need your help in finding something for my supplies.

a while ago i bought a couple of sketching "pods" with charcoal pencils, rubbers etc in them. now included was a handy little piece. basically to describe it, its a pencil shaped/sized stick, which is soft to touch and you use it to blend in lines etc. i sometimes use them to get blurred effects for parts of my artwork.

i usually use derwent supplies as the price and quality is pretty good.

looking at one of these fellows, its sharpened at both ends, feels soft and smooth to touch, is white. all it had stamped on it is a barcode, and "derwent no. 2". this isnt very helpful... i wanna find what these are called and buy a few off an internet site. you only get one per pack for charcoal/pastel pencils etc, and i want a few as i go through them quickly.

the name "castillion, casillion" comes to mind, but a google/ebay brings up nothing.

its really doing ones head in. any help?

in very tight spots bubba yes mate

as my artwork is very very detailed, sometimes i need the smallest of points blended and my fat fingers dont quite match up to a pointed blending stick

call me a cheat, but not had any complaints thus far...

bubba uses something else for tight spots - its small enough!!!!

COB, can you scan in some of your work at some point.
I have seen some of your cars and wish i could draw!!!

I started doing some manga cartoons a while back, but didn't stick at it (xbox tempted me too much) so any incentive would be appreciated.

keep up the work!

Sorry, COB, I think I'm being dim.........I thought the stumps I posted in post 21 were the same thing as the Derwent 2 which you've just posted as an eraser. If you can clarify, I may (if I can get my **** in gear) nip into the art shop next Monday before w**k.

basically the 12 tortillion strips are all the same (white). the eraser is just what comes in the pack i assume, with them being derwent ones. stamped on each one anywho
