I need to use this current tax years ISA shares allowance before April. I'm thinking of getting one of those ISA wrappers that let me buy/sell shares, ETFs, funds etc. To be honest I won't be 'trading' on a daily basis but just want the flexibility of being able to get in/out of something quickly if desired.

Anyway, with the stockmarket across the world so turbulent what should I do? I don't want to lose this years allowance but on the other hand don't want massive capital losses as a result.

What I really want is something that will preserve its value so that when I feel the stock market will pick up I can use it.
