What's the place next to Alton Towers?
Flash Earth ...satellite and aerial imagery of the Earth in Flash
Anyone know what the place in the link above is? It's next to Alton Towers, and looks to have lots of plant machinery knocking about? Wondered if it's one of those places where you can pitch up and have a go with a JCB etc?
Cheers

its jcb test track, I dropped some type 1 stone off on the corner of that oval track, its made of concrete, there s a washboard half way down it and on the side it dips up and down.
in answer to your question though its private and its very big, I dont know how old that set of pictures are but it was much bigger than what you saw there.

just go directly south and you'll see the main JCB factory at Rocester - all part of the same site effectively.
I keep meaning to cycle over there some day as it's just down the road from me
