Default Best DJ headphones

Hi All,
I've had my Sennheiser HD-25 headphones for ages which have been ace but starting to fall apart. What are the best ones these days, don't mind spending the $$$ if they are worth it

Sennheiser HD-25 headphones are wicked.. When you say falling apart what do you mean, If you mean the padding around the ear piece is coming out then just simply pop it back in with a little blunt tool and its good as new..

my vote goes for the top of the range pioneer cans

i played in a club in manchester a year ago and it was so loud i couldnt hear anything through my sennheisers , as they are semi closed
the pioneers whilst semi closed fitted more securely so i could block out a lot of external noise and hear my mix much clearer
happy days with that gig i got stiffed on my fee and took home the mighty sum of 25 quid instead of 200

Sony 7506

Best sounding, and half the price of the senns.
They sit around your ears, not on top of them ( i found my senn 25s to be incredibly uncomfortable and rather tight TBH), and full schematics and part no's list for replacement.
I have been using these around the world for 3 years now and they have been, and are, faultless.
Fow what its worth, sasha uses these too, as well as a lot of US guys..

Slight drawback that they are not available officially in the uk, but you can get them on ebay no problem, or there are some sellers on amazon.

Ignore all the shiny fashion crap ones- like the sony 700s or the technics. they ALL break due to the stupid plastic swivel design. The only two you should consider are the senns you have and these sonys I am talking about.

I promise you, you will not regret it.

I've had my sony 700s for about 2 years, no problems. Highly rated, nice clean sound. Cost about £80 though can apparently get Chinese version (just has different model number according to sellers?) for £25 on ebay.

TBH though you might be better off asking on a dj forum. Try HTFR/DJ superstore etc as they have reviews of most things.

When I replace it will either be with senn 25s or another set of 700s

All, many thanks

Freak, you were right, ordered some last week and was amazed by them straight away. Amazing detail and clarity, better than the Senn's as well. Annoyingly my ears are currently blocked up with wax and need syringing so I can't listen to them tidy at the moment, but for the brief moment on the weekend that I could hear through both ears they were ace

Many thanks
