Ronin on tonite!
Ch5 at 9pm i believe.
For this that have not seen it it is a truly great film with a superb cast and a top class car chase.
For those that have seen it, you know the score, not a film to miss!
13th Warrior last night and Ronin tonite - i will be getting oblong eyes - they used to be square back before w/screen tv's

Yep, quality film
Didnt watch 13th Warrior as I dont like Antonio Bandy Legs, so watched AvP instead (again)
TBH I would prefer to throw the DVD in, no cuts, and no Ads

I know what you mean, I thnk its more a case of you know there are probably a lot of other people watching it too
Whereas when you stick a DVD on, there is only a couple of you watching at the most
I ended up watching Rules of Engagement too last night
But tonight we have seen all the films that are on, so tonight will be a DVD night, as we watched Ronin not all that long ago
Might go for Aliens Special Edition

I cant remember if I have seen/heard the commentray on that one, I too must have seen it 50+ times too
Next time you watch it though, think Axis Chemical Plant from Batman, and also look closely at the seat in the people carrier thing, it ended up being Michael Keaton's chair in Batman
I have to confess I have ran round a car park in Market Drayton wearing the Alien Head that Vasquez popped a cap in, it had the bullet hole too
Then wore Michael Beihns armour too and his pulse rifle, and ran around said car park yet again

Fantastic - i met and did some work with the model maker who worked on Aliens (amongst many toehrs including a shed load of James bond films and ther Memphis belle - his speciality was proper flying props for films. He created the drop-ship, APC and worked on the pulse rifle design, etc, had his phot0 album of his work with him - WOW, that was a good day!

Cool, a story I got told was that late one night one of the artists was doing some finishing touches to one of the alien models (the mechanical inner jaw) he was working alone in low light (all machinery off) and the outer jaws peeled back and the inner jaw jumped out and smacked him in the forehead, needless to say he shat himself, locked up very quickly and went home
A guy I worked with used to collect a lot of props from Alien/Aliens and at the time his back garden was full of Alien Eggs dotted about the place that he salvaged from the skip from the studios
I have a picture somewhere of the above Alien Head on a guy wearing Jean Luc Picards original uniform from the 1st series of Next Generation, quite an amusing photo too as he is on the phone as well
I do have a life size face hugger (franks eye view of fat pat anyone ) and chest burster

Got Jean Reno in it, so that's always a good pointer. Leon is also a great film. Been to Arles, where some of Ronin is set, the old Roman Forum is still used for bull fights. The roads are narrow and twisty, which makes the stunt driving even more impressive. The name of the French stunt team escapes me...
