Petrol prices getting stupid !
Went to my local Shell garage a few days ago and V-Power was 108.9,just been there this evening and it's now 110.9
Will the price ever drop or is it just going to keep rising ?

It will keep going up...the plan is to tax you off the road. Won't be that long before its £2 a litre, and will rise beyond that level too.....leading the world in green issues, leading the world in tax take

but by then there won't be a benefit state left to catch you....
They are not going to be happy till all the men in suits are having to walk down the motorway, still paying green taxes for the car they would like to own

These latest rises don't really have much to do with the Government.
Oil prices are high......and the extra VAT recieved on the high cost of fuel must be very welcome for Gordon!

TBH, fuel companies have been trying to force the price over the £1 per litre barrier in the UK for ages. Now they've done it, without so much as a whimper from the consumer.
I've said it before, I'll say it again, watch prices FLY now. It'll be more than £1.50 a litre before this ti9me next year.
But hey................inflation will still be 2% according to Lying Labour

Crude oil price has taken about a 10% dip off its recent all time high.
I don't know when this will mean cheaper fuel at the pumps or when I fill up my oil tank in the next month.
Most of it is tax though, which does blunt the fluctuations with oil prices.
You could always buy shares in oil companies, that way when petrol goes up your shares are probably going up unless the badger has just raised taxes

I heard that the government is thinking about removing petrol/gas/oil prices from the inflation figures, as well as house prices.
Surely if you just keep removing things that are going up higher than inflation, the figure becomes irrelevant?

So, in order to manipulate the interest rates to how they want them to be, they firstly have to manipulate the inflation figure to make the BoE do what they want

The government have already removed fuel, council tax, mortgage payments, and food . currently in the basket of goods.
Kitchen units
And leather sofas(clearly fabric sofas are going up in price)
In fact according to the government the price rises in fuel you are talking about are not there they are an illusion and you shouldn't be concerned.
The entire price basket for the UK has gone up 2% in the last year. You must be imagining it that fuel has gone up more.

Well, I'm getting sick of paying stupidly high prices for Petrol.
All I'm waiting for is to see if the new Focus RS is 4WD or FWD in the summer and I'll make my mind up.
If it's FWD, I'll get probably get myself an Audi A3 2.0TDI S-Line DSG (40+mpg)
If it's 4WD, I'll get the Focus, hire a Garage to keep it in, and buy a cheap 2nd car to run to work and back in. (Golf TDI)
I think Petrol prices will be £1.20/litre within the next few months. ******* rediculous. It's not that I can't afford to pay it, it's just I don't want to pay so much for it. Not on top of everything else that is going up and up.
I'll push the boat out for a 4WD RS but that's it.

As for Scunny, yep, we are almost cvertain to drop. We have spent little out of our transfer fund, the chairman's tight wallet means no half decent players want to come, as they would take huge paycuts, and so we are left scrabbling around for has-beens or players who can't make the bench for teams in the division BELOW us.
All very depressing, but we knew how it would be..........
