How many hours sleep per night?
It seems the older I get the harder it is to wake up in the morning!
My snooze button has now indented with the amount of times it gets used.
What time do people normally rise in the morning and how many hours sleep do you get?
I "normally" get to sleep around 11.30 - 12 and set my alarm for 6.30. Unless I get hooked on the xbox

12-1 usually
6:30-8:30 depending on what time my little angel wanders in.
Get more/better sleep when not drinking alceyhol, so not very often.

Varies. I suffer from mild insomnia from time to time.
Can go to bed at 11pm, and still be awake at 2am. Have to be up at 7am. Bloody frustrating, and have to get through the day on Red Bull.
Not to bad at the minute. Going to bed at 11pm-11:30pm and getting to sleep within the hour.
I still need about 8-10 hours sleep to feel awake the next day.

These days my sleep is all over the place ... probably 5 or 6 hours a night. A mixture of things including children are to blame. I have this nasty feeling that I'm going to crash and burn soon.

Went to bed last night at 10.30 and I thought I'm getting old because I was actually looking forward to going to bed early.
Usually we go between 11 and 12 and my alarm is set for 7.45 and the mrs is 7.30. Out of bed at 8am.
All 3 of us suited, booted and ready by 8.45.

Depends,
work nights, anywhere from 12-1 up at 6.00
weekends 2-3am up at 9ish (lie-in day) (non-lie in day)- 2-3am up at 6-7ish
this week i should be having super long lie-ins, (christmas hols) but im getting up at 8 ish mind you not going to bed till 2
then again, ive been known to just crash one evening at about 9pm
although looking at it on average, 6 hours seems to be the norm

I don't know how you lot manage to function on anything less than seven hours I have to have eight but can get away with seven for the odd night.
I'd love to be able to manage on less sleep, having to go to bed early every night is a bit annoying really. I thought as you got older you managed on less sleep but I still need the same as I did 20 years ago Given the choice though I prefer to go to sleep early and get up early, I really hate getting up late

I've always needed alot of sleep. I feel physically ill if I don't get what I need!
8 hours is the norm that I can function on, but I do like more at the weekends.

From my years of studying I have found women need more sleep than men......... so when you take that fine woman (after a few drinks) to bed you can keep her up for hours, Then when you finally wake up the next day and see her for the dog she is she's dead to the world and you can make a run for it!

depends what shifts I'm working at the airport
last night for instance got 1 1/2 hours sleep cos was changing shift patterns
doesn't half mess you up lemme tell ya
Sometimes then I'll sleep for 14 hours or so !!!
So does that all balance itself out in the end is what I'm wondering really ... ??

Yup, I'm a bit like that, I always feel tired. I've had two pots of strong coffee today and although I can feel the caffeine in my system (slightly twitchy, bit shaky ) my eyes still feel tired and I know if I were to sit on the sofa I could easily fall asleep

Do any one else's children so this? Mine are 1 and 4.
We have to wake them up during the week and they usually sulk and moan about being disturbed.
However, at the weekend, they are both up at 6 on the button!

I have a 10 month old son, so he decides exactly how much sleep I get, but at the minute I finally hit the sack about 1:30am, the Mrs gets up at 7am and I follow an hour or so later
Very tired at the minute with work/kid but its all worth it

dont go to bed until at least 11-12 most nights.
* Put the dvd on, watch approx about 30 secs of it and then am asleep
* snore away for about 5 hours of that
* wake up without the need for an alarm clock
* and morning glory EVERY morning
* out of bed by 7-8
hasnt changed from when I was a kid
