Welcome back Pete. You are right, it's not right. 
It may be a democracy but just because you have the right to do something doesn't mean you have to do it and FWIW, it's not entertainment, it's trying to make a fast buck at someone else's expense which I find quite distasteful.

Its already been agreed my the Mccan's spokes person that the 'Maddie Movie' speculation was spun by the media only.
There is a differnce between a movie and a documentry.
Just shows you how cruel the world can be somtimes. World peace?? lets just start respecting other people first should we.

Right, so it will be shown in EVERY country then?
The majority of people that will be credible witnesses will be Portuguese.
The police will prob have details of most tourists that were in the locality and will have asked them etc.
I'm not saying there's any harm in showing it in other countries but surely Portugal is the 1st and main port of call.

There have been at least two doccos about Maddie and what has happened and about the suspects/case already.
I would not want to hinder Maddies cause, i would have thought allowing the BBC or ITV or C4 (Who are far more capable of making doccos or films than the American networks or studios anyhow) to update the existing doccos would have made a lot of sense.,
IMHO it is all about the money.

It doesdn't surprise me about the film theory's though
For those saying the Mcanns both have great/good jobs etc, hasn't the mother not gone back to work, so therefore not earning any money anymore and the dad has only gone back to work part time
The HAD good jobs, unlikely they still have or will have in time

when i read a line in the paper that went along the lines of 'why would she do something so dispicable just to make money' why did my eyes go to kate mccann and not the agent?
i'm not sugesting that they'd hide maddie for a year, build up a big fund that no-one would dare ask back, then somehow find maddie and live the rest of their lives in luxury.

Perhaps peoples anger and efforts would be better chanelled into helping to find/find out what happened and bring this sad case to a conclusion!
