Just tried to access my Sky+ planner where I've saved a few good programmes and have my series links set up. All I can get is "Please wait" and nothing ever happens. All of the rest of the menus seem to work okay and I've tried switching off and on again, tried the service menu, but with the same result...no go on the planner. Any Sky engineers around with a bit of free advice (I'll buy you a few pints!)? Obviously being outside the UK isn't gonna help me as I can't call 'em so any advice is greatly appreciated. TIA.
Try asking the question on here mate there are some pretty clued up people over there.

Guys, you are kings!!! I unplugged the box, went for a p and pugged it back in again and it's back to normal as far as I can tell...and I've not lost my Rory Gallagher or Pink Floyd programs either. Just using the remote to turn it off and on didn't work. So where can I send you two lads a fiver for your help? Paypal works for me.

I already give to NSPCC TopBanana -- only 50 quid a month I admit but I'm very prepared to put into your next favourite charity (assuming they accept payments outside the UK).

For future reference -
You should press services>system setup> then 0 then 1 then SELECT again.
Now you will have the engineer setup.
Try planner rebuild first (which SHOULDN'T loose anything)
If this doesn't work do a full system reset which will reformat your HDD.
The full reset will loose ALL recordings and things you have in your planner.
I've had to rebuild my planner a few times, never had to full system reset.
