I've got a similar one my parents bought me for Xmas last year ( think its DeLonghi ) - looks great until you read the instructions and see you have to clean it out after every use, which takes ages, and its incredibly complicated to use. The whole point of instant coffee is its supposed to be instant, not take an hour of messing about and cleaning to make a cup.

We get a 'newer better' coffee making device every few months. The only one that we haven't got fed up with all the effort is a Nescafe Dolce Gusto pod coffee maker. Takes about 30 seconds from cold start. You get a choice of about 7 different coffe types, and makes the best hot choclate you have ever tasted
