Time to Vote on Hightee
Due to the voracity of the replies in the world-wide Ebay Scumbag Scammer thread I was thinking there should be a little vote
- Present all evidence to the Police for prosecution
- Ask Playboy to pay Hightee for spread with all monies going to the victims of her scam
- Publicly flogged with a wet kipper
- Let the Do-Gooders buy her a holiday to reflect on her bad deeds
- Post more Bikini shots

Once could be an error of judgement, but there seem to have been multiple scams involving this person.
Let the police deal with it. If the thief ends up with a caution or a custodial term then so be it!

Isn't there an option of having more than one choice in the poll Superglue?
Hand over the evidence to the babylon, how many others are there that's she's scammed that you don't yet know about?

Where's the 'present all evidence to the Police then post more bikini pics option?
Voted anyway
*Disclaimer - not that I want to see any more pics of her in her bikini but I do want to see her shamed

I vote you all keep on at her, mercilessly, to make yourselves feel like big men, like the keyboard warriors you are.
Jeez you lot really are like stereotypical school bullys, you got refunds for the forum members concerned, but you're just carrying it on for fun now.
Yeah so she scammed people, I'd wager that she's really sorry after what's transpired. But if you carry on she'll probably end up hanging herself at this rate. Maybe that'll be enough for some of you, what about the others, you want to see her corpse dragged through the streets and burned?
I'm not defending her btw, just saying you need to get a bit of perspective. If you wanted to go to the police, why haven't you? You should have done that once you (collectively) identified her.

If someone commits a crime, does that make it ok for people to commit a crime back? By that I mean, blackmail, which is basically what's happened as a result of the thread.
Assuming it is ok, where does the line get drawn? And who decides? Certainly not a court in this case, it's basically mob/vigilante justice.
I suppose it's a tough call, for some things I'd consider that vigilante justice is sometimes the only thing that works, but it's still illegal and basically 'wrong'.

I do see the smilies in your post, but it does raise an important observation (which is general - not aimed at you NS04).

HOWEVER.
A friendly community saw a chance to help a scammed mate and acted. Had this matter gone to the police, the consequences would have been much more serious for Miss Hightee and the banter about the more revealing shots she has had taken and put up on a public page of her own free will would have gone on anyway.
The reality is that all that she has had to do is refund the money she missappropriated from CDF and put up with a few pervy males making suggestive comments about photos she put up on a public forum. Comments she wouldn't even see if she didn't visit the forum. Her reputation as a Ebayer has been rightly tarnished, but a criminal record would be far more damaging than the esteem of forum members....
I doubt it'll come up in a job interview!
The law may not have been served, but I reckon justice has been done in this instance.

TBH as much as I think the Police should be involved I cannot see them bothering which is why Hightee (as pretty as she is) and others like her will continue to believe they can get away with scams like this.
I asked on the the Scammers thread would any Police Officer step up to the plate and take this further but to the best of my knowledge not one has shown any interest.
Now if I was a scammer I'd be laughing all the way to the bank having learnt not what to do, thanks to Hightee so as to be a successful scammer.
CDF and the others have been very fortunate to recieve refunds but as has been mentioned so many times how many have gone un-detected?
So in summary, if she suffers embarrassment on the internet for a few months and others do not get caught...FANTASTIC
Ultimately the Police should step in and process her properly because fraud is fraud no matter how pretty you dress this girly up or down
So vote now
