Hamilton must be a firm favourite but Calzaghe has to be up there as well, he's achieved so much over the years it would be great if his efforts were recognized.

Me too. I knew it was Joe when Zara looked at the card then looked at the screen from the USA. Glad he won though. Hamilton is like Tiger Woods, zero personality, too much media training and bland interviews.

Thoroughly deserved by Joe, and so pleased he took the award, as well as Enzo taking the Coach of the Year award.
I've photographed them both regularly over the last 15 years or so, so you get an insight to the dedication it takes to be a World Champion for 10 years.
I've no doubt Lewis will have his day, and dispite Lewis's undoubted achievement, he's been in F1 for one year and came second.
Its nice to see the public recognising winning achievement, rather than rewarding a runner up. I sincerely hope that Lewis doesn't become another Tim Henman - so much hype and promise, but never achieving his potential.
I'm sure that won't happen.

Truly astonished that Hamilton didn't win and honestly never heard of that Joe Boxer chapie. Still, by all accounts, credit to him and no doubt a worthy winner.
Lewis Hamilton's time will come.
Richard.

I would call it prudent management. Just like most other stars who suddenly find themselves making huge amounts of money but with no long term guarantees. And at least he had the good grace to admit it openly on Parky. I can't see how that a kick in the teeth for his fans - he already lives in aeroplanes and hotels abroad for most of the year anyway.
