Question Supermarket shopping dilemma/etiquette

Which is right?

You are puting your shopping on the conveyer at the till and notice that the shopping divider thingy isn't there so you put it between your shopping and the persons in front.

Question: Is it your responsibility or the person in front to place the divider thingy down. Personally I think it the responsibility of the person in front.

(yes I am bored )

Wolfie.

The right thing to do is let the wife do it, while you go to the pub.

Get my shopping delivered after ordering on the 'net. Saves having to mingle with all the pikeys, chavs, and smelly people that always seem to be in Tescos when I do occasionally go there

I usually place the divider thing between my shapping and the one on front as they never bother, sometimes I growl at that whilst I do it. I then place the divider thingy between my shapping and the one behind and smile as they thank me for doing so.

It is the one where you eat nothing for a month, but have juices and special mixtures of herbs? My wife does that every so often as a 'cleanse'. Looks wrecked for the first week and then she picks up.

(She has a brain tumour and this was recommended to her)

Yup something like that mate. But this is 8-16 weeks of no food intake, just shakes and stuff. No real solids, and no regular food.
30lb gone in 3 weeks. So its working. Bad week this week, could have done SO much better.

Bloggin it all though

Wolfie.

It's polite for the person in front to put it there.

.....and while we're on the subject (sort of).........DON'T have a converstion on your mobile whilst you're being served, DON'T start waving money/card at the checkout girl whilst they are packing for you, and ALWAYS answer them when (IF, in some places), they say 'Good Morning'
Rant over.

Don't get me started on the manners of some shoppers.

Even before I worked in a shop, I always had manners while I was shopping. However, since working in a a shop I never cease to be amazed by how ill mannered some people can be. There seems to be a large majority of people out there, that haven't been taught the simple words, please and thank you.

I've had arsehol£s put their shopping down next to mine before I've even unloaded it, never mind putting the divider down. Needless to say their shopping was ruthlessly scraped back onto the basket ledge at high speed

I've also had people arguing as they tried to jump in before me as they 'only had one or two items'.

Feckwits are feckwits
