If you like watching Mission Impossible III every 2 hours then its fine.
The choice in general is utter sh#te.
I signed up for 3 months for £33 for all the channels but come January its getting downgraded again as the films are dated and repeated too much.

I assume they'll be saving all the usual popular stuff for around Christmas.
I don't like this new Premiere thing, watch one film ALL week, once or twice yeah but not everynight for 7 days.
Now with the pin password authorisation during the day, its given Sky an opportunity to show some really good films earlier on in the day but they still don't we don't have any kids in our house so it'd be nice to watch a good film everynow and then. Sky used to show a variety of films but now a film gets shown on odd days for about 2 weeks and then nothing at all, then you get real crap movies that no one likes and its never off the menu
Sky has gone down alot in my opinion.

Sky movies is going down hill fast. It use to just advertise the saturday night premier and get a really good build up for it. If you missed it, tough luck. Played diff movies every night, better choice, less channels!
ahhhhh, /me goes to cancel subscription!! ..... oh wait, Virgin are even worse!

Yep, have to agree there ain't many good films on just now, BUT i have actually sat and watched films i didn't have a clue about and been shocked at how good they were.
Fastest Indian in the World was one and The Devil Wears Prada was shockingly good.
I will admit you NEED + or even better HD, before you can make the most of your options.

I have Sky Freeview. They sent a leaflet offering 3 months free for any package and £50 M&S vouchers. You could cancel before the end of the 3 months and go back to Freeview. Initially I thought it sounded quite good, then I looked at what I'd actually watch on the other channels and can't be bothered doing it.
I get 4 DVD rentals a month from Amazon in the winter, and 2 a month in the summer (better things to do than watch movies).

Which satelite are you pointed at?
I have a spare 90cm dish which is current aimed at Astra 1F...so It's only any good for picking up dodgy 70's German ****
there has to be a better use for it....so may as well point it at a transponder that transmits something of any use
