Default Did anyone else feel sorry for Mark Bannerman last night?

...on I'm a Celebrity.

Ok, it was firstly a bit of a surprise he got voted out (I thought for one horrible minute it may be Gemma Atkinson to go ) but that's cricket as they say. But you could see his facial expressions when the penny dropped as to how much of his jungle adventure had been filmed and then to be told his girlfriend had flown back to the UK because of it. His face when walking over the bridge with no one there to welcome him said it all. He's either very stupid of very confused...but I did feel sorry for him as he is now neck high in the brown stuff...

Not sorry at all, he blew it big time and it was cringeworthy TV, as you say, when the penny dropped it was hilarious.

Feel sorry for his g/f (presumably soon to be ex) but not him, he's a fool.

A & D were funny as well - he's all "I want to go home now" and they go "So, moving on, who else did you like in there?"

Not watched it but heard on the radio he had been flirting heavily with Cery Matthews, if thats the case why do you feel sorry for him? I used to think Cerys was pretty fit when she was in Catatonia but not anymore, looking pretty rough now.

Deserved it, what did he expect flirting on national TV with another woman

I'm a celebrity is the only reality TV I like, (aside from Hells kitchen obviously) and it's ace.

As for the Bannerman, to be fair, he did resist obvious opportunities to dive in the Cerys ( I would) but he was a bit silly on the flirting front. It wasn't so much what he did, as what he said, harmless flirting which is what a lot of it was is one thing - It;s the conversations he had with other people about Cerys that probably did the damage.

Never heard of him, don't watch the programme, but to be honest if he's been flirting on a reality TV programme and not expecting to be filmed, then no, I don't feel sorry for him.

Is he a bit thick or something?

I felt sorry for him as it was pretty obvious to me that he'd fallen big time for Cerys, if that happens and you're living in a confined space and can't get away what can you do? He seemed a very tactile person anyway and I think he held himself back pretty well for a bloke

Of course his girlfriend feels totally humiliated and very, very angry but what can you do? You can't help your feelings can you? In hindsight I guess he feels he should've kept his feelings to himself but if you're an emotionally open person given the strange circumstances it's probably quite difficult.

So I did feel a bit sorry for him as the reality dawned on him of how much he'd hurt his girlfriend but I also admit to having sniggered a bit too

I can't believe I'm analysing the bloody behaviour of a couple of reality TV celebs on a public forum, oh the shame. In my defence it was a boring night on the telly

It's even worse than that - I think he was one of the wones that "left to progress his career"

I will never understnad what drives soap stars to get off the gravy train they are on to dissapear into obscurity.

Ian Beale and Ken Barlow are the most intelligent soap actors ever.

He was also in Footballer's Wives Extra Time which is in fact where he met his current girlfriend who was playing his on-screen girfriend in the series.

I'm also ashamed that I know that

It's an amazing accomplishment to pick 10 'B' list celebs that actually make 'Biggins' look both interesting, funny and intelligent

Marc Bannerman. Is that Gianni? People used to say all the time how I looked like him. Glad he left Eastenders as it was starting to bug me.

Who bit him on his chin? that's what I am a tad curious about. On a wild guess, it could have been his missus on his last flirting with some bird; this time he might get his head bitten prim and proper He is a bit of a ladies man, innhe?

Hmmm fit actress type or mum of two former heroin addict pushing 40??? Interesting. That said i feel sorry for the welsh lass because he's led her on quite a bit there and it wasn't right when he was just after a bit of ego massage.

He deffo has!
But she was acting so vulnerable and falling for it as well like an idiot, though! You should always ask a guy if he is "properly" single, before you even let them buy you a Volvic; never mind p!ssing about in a jungle with you!

Question that never really got answered though is whether Cery's is single or not?

When Bananaman first came out the jungle he looked more gutted at leaving her and then reality (ironic) dawned and he realised he had left the Truman show through the hidden door...

Haven't seen much of the jungle footage, but I did see his girlfriend being interviewed at the airport on the news.

She came across as calm, poised, bright, and not interested in "washing dirty linen in public". In other words, she came across as a lady; the guy must be an idiot.

I also thought it a shame that other people interviewed (Heather Mills for example) don't half a fraction of his girlfriend's class and dignity.

He's being interviewed on ITV1 at 8PM

Apparently he spoke to his gf on the phone and according to tv didn't need to fly back to the uk
