The Enforcers
On BBC1 earlier tonight.
I was shocked that there are a million illegal cars on the road in Britain and random ANPR checks are seemingly the only serious weapon the authorities have? What the hell went wrong?
And the poor woman who was insured, but wasn't showing up on the plod Db. Did anyone compensate her for the taxi fare and all the aggro?
Laughed at the uphill gardener making his getaway in his seized Volvo beater complete with screeching water pump

You gotta feel sorry for the guy. Asked to cough up £105 for nothing. Common sense out the window.
I would be interested to know if you get compensated and a letter of apology if the database doesn't show up your legitimate insurance ? I can guess the answer. Still, if you've done nothing wrong you've nothing to fear !

And people don't see the obvious failings id cards?
"Sorry pal, you aren't on our database as being who you say you are, it's off to the detention camp with you"
