I moved into a flat with a mate 2 weeks ago and then found out my dad has lung cancer and now i need to move home to be there with him. I have contacted the agent and they said they would look for someone to take the flat over from me but what i was thinking was what would happen if i said keep the deposit and can we leave it there. ( 6 weeks rent ).

Would this be possible or is there any other way out of it. I signed up a year.
