Default Anyone recommend an Ice Crusher?

Am getting a bit bored of smashing cubes up in a plastic bag with a rolling pin to fuel my ever increasing Mojito addiction

Has anyone got one as seem to be quite a few on the market. I dont mind if its manual but has to produce ice chunks for cocktails rather than shaved ice for slush puppy type drinks.

Just to clarify its for crushing already made ice, not some fancy machine that makes and crushes ice (unless such a thing exists for around £30-40).

Cheers,
Simon

Our fridge has an ice-cube dispenser built in which will dispense cubed or crushed. Works very well, can't comment on stand alone ones I'm afraid.

Liquidiser or food processor will do the job. Can usually find them cheap in the supermarket.

I always thought they werent supposed to be used for ice unless a decent one as damage the blades or short out the motor.

Will prob got for a manual one off Amazon as less to go wrong.

Simon

Not sure about "unless a decent one", I think more "unless specifically designed for it". I have a special ice blade, you shouldn't use sharpened cutting blades for ice. (No idea if it works, never used it!)
