My little sister is starting her business degree and needs a load of really expensive books.. shes manage to do a year already and stay out of debt but this years going to cost !

Anyone suggest any places to get books online cheap.. Ebay is a no go all very expensive listing at the moment.

Doubt you'll find much cheaper than ebay. You could try amazon - click where it says 'xx new and used'.

My gal got most of her uni books from Amazon. Of course if you can get a feed into some students who have just finished the course that might be worth pursuing. And, of course, e-bay as said.

Oh - and the library if you get there first

Is there a bookshop local to the uni or somewhere that they are recommended to go to? When I was at uni there was a Blackwells (or whatever they were called) on campus that used to hold quite a lot of the course texts and they had a fair selection of second hand books, maybe worth a look??

Also checking the uni notice boards round her faculty buildings for students selling their books once finished that course is also a good place to find them cheaper than rrp.

Does the university have a scheme to help new students buy books off the previous year's graduates? Or are they books that have to be updated every year?

From what I can tell they are updated as there are quite a few versions of each book
