Nott's have also banned gatherings of cars (Call it what you want)
So the Evo's just the thing to pull up at these illegal gatherings.
It's a god job the McRae convoy didn't drive through because convoys are banned as well.
Cheers

Convoys have been banned for flippin years now (unplanned, unlawful ones) as well as "gatherings" as you say.
Lawrie's Law took care of all that back in the days of the Sunday Guildford meets, and back after the National Cruise that took place in Wednesbury.
Strange old law that covers a wide range of things, and can result in confiscation of the car!
Essex Police have a couple of Evo's too, as ANPR interceptors.

A county council in the East Midlands has banned all so-called "boy racers" from its roads following complaints about noise and anti-social behaviour.
Nottinghamshire County Council and Nottinghamshire Police applied for the injunction from the county court.
The injunction prevents five or more vehicles from "congregating, driving in convoy, or racing" in the county.
The council said the move followed hundreds of complaints about noise and anti-social behaviour of drivers.
A similar injunction was obtained by Nottingham City Council in 2006 which applied to the city.
The injunction carries a maximum two year jail sentence for anyone found breaching the order.
It will remain in place for two years and then be reviewed.
Cheers

Crikey, 2 years in the slammer now!
I know they were getting tough up north after being quite soft about it for years, but serving time, thats harsh, especially as it will not doubt be a token gesture when the first person gets the sentance. Probably an unlicenced wedding convoy or something. lol
