If its near the underpass its 50 into a 40 mate.
Blimey im impressed with my knowledge.
As you come down the old express way, past the old Hotel 70 in Old Colwyn it goes from national down to 50, then down to 40 as you approach Colwyn Bay.... From memory anyway.
Its up and down like a ****** drawers up on that section.

How strange, never would have thought have looking here...
*** road - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
*** road - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
There is also a stretch passing through Colwyn Bay (Old Colwyn to Mochdre) signed as a 50 mph (80 km/h) limit. These restrictions are imposed as added safety precautions because the slip-roads in this stretch are unusually short because of the difficulty of fitting the road into a very narrow area of land, and, due to the road underpassing much of the town, to reduce road surface noise levels.

If it's the *** itself then it's 70 or 50 through Old Colwyn then back to 70 as Snazy said. As far as I remember then unless there's roadworks then no lower than 50. They're quite keen on policing the 50 zone (with both the scamera van and actual traffic cars), I've seen the ANPR van on there a few times too.

I am pretty sure before Colwyn its like this...
You know the arched footbridge just before where hotel 70 was ? Just as you run alongside Old Colwyn, well im 90% sure it drops to 50 right there, then for the duration through Old Colwyn, Colwyn Bay, and as it comes away from the seafront and heads back inland back up to 70 again, just after running parallel with the Welsh Mountain Zoo....
Call me a freak, but thats how I remember it lol
Gutted, mum just got off the phone to my aunt who lives just up by the exit for Eris Park and the Police HQ, could have asked her.
If you dont know by tomorrow I will have a word lol

Yep, Snazy's pretty accurate. It drops to 50 where the old hotel 70 degrees is/was (the one on the cliff) and then returns to 70 after Colwyn Bay (not long before the Llandudno turnoff).

Colwyn Bay Bypass
Part of the route (Junction 23) Llandulas to (Junction 17) Conwy is signed as a 70 mph (110 km/h) speed limit (as opposed to most of the other sections of the ***, which are the National Speed Limit) and is a non-motorway special road, which has restrictions on access by pedestrian and other traffic, similar to the restrictions applied to a motorway. There is also a stretch passing through Colwyn Bay (Old Colwyn to Mochdre) signed as a 50 mph (80 km/h) limit. T
i tihnk thats the bit i need,i just need the speed limit at junction 20 as cops gunned me at that junction and they never said if it was a 50 or 70 ??
i hope it was 70 or im in deep doo doo.
