Day Watch Dnevnoy dozor
going to see this tonight, absolutely loved the nightwatch previous chapter (had never heard of it and got the dvd as a present)
should be a cracker of a film, even though they are all in russian with english subtitles.
nightwatch was one of the best films i have seen that i knew nothing about, i remember it starting and thinking it was going to be some kind of grungley old lord of the rings thing and soon after thinking WHAT THE **** IS THIS

Come back with an update.
Theres 3 altogether. I could be wrong but I think all 3 films were made a little while ago but only now filtering into the west.

Seen the Original Nightwatch. Also watched some remake IIRC with Ewan McGregor in it. Both really good IMO. Didnt know they had number 2 coming out.
Edd, you thinking of the Ewan McGregor one too, maybe thats how you got to 3 films being made. IIRC something along the lines of the production company held the release back so they could make an american version.

Didn't know there was a western version.
When Night Watch first came out, there was mention of 3 films in total from the russian team.(bit like Matrix)
It took nearly 2 years for Night Watch to be released here. I guess Day Watch was made more recently and Dusk Watch is being made now.
Funnily enough, I've still got Night Watch on Sky+ I'll have a watch of that tonight.

yes daywatch has just been sorted for western world with the subtitles etc etc
was not aware that duskworld had been made yet!
the nightwatch was remade twice for the western world, with one haveing bog standard subtitles and the other having "fancy" subtitles built into the scene etc etc.
i think the 2 disc boxset i have at home has all 3 (2 western and the russian)
also a few other changes like the tv shown has buffy the vampire slayer on instead of something else etc etc
