There are 2 others I prefer.
A still taken of a chemical plant in the USA desert exploding, the shockwave is incredible.
And the other I still cant find a copy of.
A member of the pit crew (fuel filler) caught as one of the cars went up in flames.
Escaped almost unharmed, but to see him engulfed in flames was a fantastic picture.

yes, an impressive pic indeed. the sort of thing you;d like to be able to see in action too! 
i wonder if you could recreate that pic, albeit on a slightly smaller scale, with an evel knievel dragster car and a can of expaning foam
