It seems great, only just started playing it. Its killing my PC though, I just don't have the horsepower to run the game in anything that looks remotely decent It does seem popular though.

From the training missions it looks like Command and Conquer, but with a true floating camera. Also appears to have units that are much more closely represented as to what they can do in real life.

I think it's pretty good, and WW3 instead of the usual WW2

It's the online mode that makes this game.

Single player AFAIK is pretty much a trainer for online.

Have the demo just not got round to playing it. Haven't finished C&C3 yet

I have Company of Heroes but got fed up with a certain level and never played it again. Was quite good running through then hit this one level and after 10+ attempts I gave up.

My personal RTS fav is Dawn of War by a good margin. Theres a 3rd expansion pack recently announced too.

Never get tired of this and looks awesome fed into our big TV

EDIT - if i was a don mod, I'd move this to 'puters

No its a few years old. check out the youtube vids of DoW. Some of the fan tributes are really good.

Slightly similar to CoH in the strategic points capture elements.

DoW2 is supposed to be using the CoH engine.

You can get Company of Heroes with Dawn of War thrown in for nowt. I did.

Or get this

http://www.play.com/Games/PC/4-/1720...y/Product.html

All 3 DoW games. You need all 3 to be able to play as all the races.

DOW, is that the first Warhammer 40K RTS, something like 4 years ago or thereabouts? If it is I played that till the end, and tbh I did not really get on with it.

It was the same old build a base, protect your base while you build a zerg force, then swamp the enemy. Next level, rinse and repeat. Graphics were good, but graphics do not make the game for me (especially since I have an old PC where I have to turn the detail down )

Its addictive and doesn't hurt your nose whilst playing.

Although when you finally go to bed you can still see the red flashy circles and "Squad Broken" being shouted into your ear endlessly.
