New mobile phone help
My current contract has now come to an end
I am with Virgin and got a Nokia 6230i
But mobile phones have changed so much, but fancy a new phone/contract now
I like Nokia's mainly the text side of things so like the keyboard etc of the 6230i and the memory (as I currently have a 1Gb MMC card in it full of mp3's)
So am I better speaking to my current supplier (onestopphoneshop) and just 'upgrading' my phone or getting a new contract
I do like the idea of possibly getting an xbox 360 or laptop out of it though which I doubt I would get if 'upgrading'
Donna wants my old phone if I do upgrade etc as it is better than hers
So any advice on what is a decent replacement for the 6230i

I suppose the first question is what do you want to use your phone for?
I went for an iPAQ hw6915 which is a phone, handheld pc with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth as well as GPS so it runs tom-tom.

It is primarily used for texting, and then the odd phone calls and then the odd picture taking and mp3 listening
WiFi would be handy though, I do have a Pocket Loox PDA with Sat Nav on which is my work one, and I do have a 6230i work phone too
Just looking for something a bit better and newer

The SVPs are good, but I too have an Ipaq PDA (6515 with Tom Tom), and I've also got an N95.
IIRC, you'll find that the newer Nokias have a newer OS, which is different. Texting is still good tho.
You'll also find that to get the "free" goodies, you'll usually have to sign up for an 18month contract.....
For what you've said you want in a phone, eitehr the N95 or the N73(?) could do the trick, as the cameras are pretty good. Otherwise, the Sony Ericsson is good, as it's also a very good MP3 player.
My N95 also is a media player - ripped the Max & Paddy episodes onto it and also have loads of MP3s on it too.
But personally, for Mp3s, I just use my Ipod......
