The best mainstream horror franchise IMO.
All 3 films so far have been different to each other yet still pretty good with the gore levels balanced well against the twists and turns of the plot.
Utterly ludicrous of course, but good entertainment all the same!

1 was cracking
2 was ****
3 was good
Isn't he dead though? 2 didn't work because the focus was moved from Saw to her which didn't work.
Hostel I thought was good. The puking was a good touch but the eye on string let it down.
Hostel 2 should be out soon

Watch 'Death Sentence' the other day at cinema from same team. Bit like the Punisher to be honest but some good blood n guns action and there is a hint back to the Saw films in there too...

Hostel was ****e.
THe problem is that nearly all "horror" films are made unintentionally hilarious by the cretinous acts of the victims combined with comical deaths.

Put them all on my Amazon rental list, watched the first one, it was ****, knocked the rest off the list, I thought it was meant to push the limits of horror.
Just funny really.

I adored the first one after seeing it in the cinema. I thought the second one was **** though and as a result have not seen the third even though I own it on DVD but it is apparently much better so i'll have to watch it soon.
I'm a bit sceptical about them doing loads of them cause the first was so good it just seems a bit sad to ruin it all. But we will see, hopefully 4 will be good.
