I personally feel that I am a good person i have my flaws some big some small but all n all i do believe i do right on others as it was the way i was brought up!

But i do feel i'm in a minority though as i seem to see less people like me in my working and personal life, everywhere all i see is slackers, idiots and people out for themselves.

Now this is coming from a 21year old so don't be putting this down to any sort of ageism.

I dont quite see how you judge someone a good or bad person?

If they are lazy, does that make them a bad person?

If they are stupid, does that make them a bad person?

If they are looking out for themselves, does that make them a bad person?

I would have to say that nothing above constitutes what I would call a bad person.

I think that the term "good person" could probably be better interpreted as somebody with integrity.

I have faults (don't we all!), but I consider myself to have alot of integrity, which I hold as one of my greatest attributes.

A month or so ago, I was on my way home from work, driving up a busy main road as I was driving I saw a young lad with long hair a hoody and well scruffy looking stood over a body laid on the floor, he was not lifeless as you could see he was trying to lift his head from floor.

This was a very busy main road, at least 10 cars in front of me drove straight passed not to mention the 50 or so in front of them, as I was approaching them I was thinking stop, don’t stop, stop, then I was over come with what I can only describe as an inbuilt reaction to stop and at least offer help or assistance I immediately threw my indicator on a pulled over.

At the time I was not aware if he lad had been punched to the ground by the bystander, or it was some type accident. When I asked if I could offer help, the lad who was stood, “said he had everything under control” he was a volunteer care assistant who had taken an under privileged teenager out for fresh air from a local home for well a home for the under privileged homeless children.

He had just called for assistance from the home on a mobile they supplied, as the child suffered from epilepsy, I offered help or assistance even a lift back to the home, he refused due to security and insurance reasons, however when I asked if he wanted me to stay till help arrived, he replied, “seriously there is no need but thank you and god bless you sir for stopping”

His comment made me feel one hundred feet tall, no reward no pay raise, just humble thanks.

Does this make me a good person; I would hope my conscience plays apart in making me that little bit better than the numerous cars that drove straight passed.

Personally i would do anything for anyone, but there are so many people out there trying to **** you over it's very difficult.

I'm a strong believer in what goes around, come around so i dont let it bother me.

The ONLY "life" lesson worth my time and effort in secondary school was given to me by an RE teacher who, was pretty much bullied by the entire class, which made what he advocated even more remarable!

He said: "You need know only one thing to get you through life, Paul: be nice to people"

Don't go overboard though: the truth is some people really aren't worth your time and trouble. Equally if you get too scared of walking anywhere for fear of stepping on toes, life isn't much fun.
