Default Barcelona Hotels

Anyone know any good hotels in Barca? Looking to take the missus away for a 3 day romantic break, and want something nice, but not a bank breaker.

Cheers.

Arts is nice but we stay at Hotel 1898 which is right on the La Rambler and VERY nice indeed. The hotel group is 'NH' and they have various hotels across Barca at varying prices...Arts maybe even be one of them.

Me and the missus stayed here about a year ago and would highly recommend it. It isn't smack bang in the middle of Barcelona but was only a 15 minute train journey. Situated in a great little town and it was only a 5 minute walk to the train station.

We were over there in June and stayed here:

Silken Ambassador Ramblas, Barcelona, Spain - 26 Guest reviews - BOOKING.COM online hotel reservations

The rooms were a little dark, but very cool and the staff were wonderfully friendly and hepful. It's almost right on Las Ramblas and, if you're trying to save a few quid, there's an excellent Carrefour supermarket about 50 yards away where you can buy cheap food and drink (Cava from 1.5 Euro a bottle!)

We had some excellent romantic picnics by the pool on the roof which was largely deserted at night.

If you're interested in slightly quirky places I can also point you to a fantastic cocktail bar just around the corner - but it's not at all touristy!

Barcelona is an expensive place - but be brave and hunt down the little cafe bars off the main streets and you should be OK!

Have fun!

Edited to say it's dead easy to get the train from the Airport to Catalunya square and its a whole lot cheaper than a cab!

Hey there

Took the misses over there in July and stayed at the Eurostars Laietana Palace, Its located in the Gothic quarter and is less than a 5 minute walk to the La Rambla or the port area. Was a lovely hotel in an excellent setting, small cafes and bars all around to relax in and within easy access of anything in the City!!

was in barcelona last month and stayed at the Barceló Atenea Mar, very nice hotel and good prices too. It just out of the town and on the sea front.

Barcelona is a great place
