Default PROBLEM with phone contract. Anyone on here who works for 02??

i am on 02 at the mo, and i have been paying £20 a month

(got a £15 discount as was going to leave last year as there were better deals on at the time)

this included 500 anytime/network mins, and 500 txts.

I phones up to day to up grade to the nokia n95 (last time i up graded was november 2005)
but they said if i wanted to keep on my £20 a month deal, i would need to pay £199 for the phone, but if i wanted the phone for free, i would need to pay £35 a month for the same mins/txts.

not sure what to do really. the bloke said there was nothing else he could offer.

it feels like i have got to pay £15 more each month for the same as i have been paying.

sooo whos got the best contract deal out at the mo, with free nokia n95

Anyone on here work for 02?

Exactly the same happened to me about 1 month ago. I'm on a £25 tarrif with o2 and they want £129 or something like that, or change to a £35 tarrif per month to get it for free. I threatened to leave and they still couldn't change the upgrade price (worked 18 months ago!).

I settled for the moto Z8 at £59.99.

Nick.

I would steer clear of the n95......mine was crap.

Orange replaced it with the sony erricson k610i....after sending back three N95,s and it has been trouble free....(touch wood!!)

With orange i get 700 mins anytime/free landline calls/unlimited texts/free voice mail retrieval....for £25 per month inclusive..+£5 month for orange care.

This was offered to me when i threatened to leave them!!!

Oh dear. I ordered the N95 on o2 the other day. I hope I dont have any problems with it.
I was paying £25 a month for 500 off peak minutes and 500 texts. My new deal is 18 months, £30 per month, 400 anytime mins and 1000 texts. The phone comes for free If I wanted to stay on £25 per month the phone would have been £199.
I'm quite happy with my new deal.
If you want to still pay £20 a month then you will need to choose a cheaper phone I think.

as far as I know you can change your talk plan after 6 months.

I originally took out a £35 contract to get a free SE K800i but have since dropped down to £20 a month.

I'd go to phones 4u and reel of some rubbish about how 02 or somewhere else are offering you a blinding deal, I did and one hour later they offerd me 3000 texts per month, 750mins and unlimited free internet for £35 a month with a free N95.

Bearing in mind 02 are doing 1000 texts and 400 mins with no internet for £30 per month it was well worth it!

No problems with the N95 yet but it's only 1 week old, my favourite has to be the quality of the digital camera and video.. came in well handy at Trax on the weekend.

... where were all the SNet members by the way? Not much of a Scooby turnout!

Have a look at the t mobile flext deals.

Your not tied to X amount of texts and X amount of minutes per month like other contracts, you can mix and match the two

Didn't Tmobile win price plan of the year in 2006 with flext? Sure they did

I've had the N95 for a few months now and have had no issues with it at all despite using all its functions pretty much to capacity. As far as I know the early models suffered from a number of problems that were solved with software upgrades.

I'm on a 12 month contract with Vodaphone and get 500 mins plus 250 texts a month for £30.00. Suits my usage to be honest and the phone was free including a free memory card.

Had mine pretty much since the day it came out, no problems at all apart from its got way to much rubbish on that you just don't use, now deleted a lot of it and its much better, especially the speed as it was quite slow before.

18m.. don't seem to be many offering the 12m anymore, well unless with ridiculously high prices like £75 pm or a lot for the phone.
Works out good for me. I was spending a lot more on credit!

Nice phone, had mine 3 days now

Downside - Cant customise the message tones, or limit the text so when your texting and you go into two pages, no warning etc, which can be annoying!
