I just heard that the Jesus and Mary Chain will be playing Brixton Academy with special guest Evan Dando

The last time I saw them was in 1989 in Rio !!

It'll be some after party, if they can still handle it lol

They've released a B-side and rarities album and were probably offered a large sum of money to do a tour, as is these days.

A similar era band are playing there in November - Carter the Unstoppable Sex Machine

They are reforming for a one off reunion gig, Brixton and Glasgow!

I'm going to see them at Glasgow in October. Apparently they are just going to play the "old favorites".

I saw J&MC in Birmingham first time round when they were happening. I dare not even think of the year

They came on, did 2 songs, most of which was just pure feedback, and could not see them cos of the dry ice. Then they smashed the **** out of the gear and left.

What an atmosphere though. Excellent gig!
