Question Whats It Worth?

Not a car valuation as is usually the case

Anyone any idea about the value of a Realistic PRO-26 Handheld Scanner?

Not used for many years but boxed with all instructions and in perfect working order with rubber duck aerial.

Thanks - I found that one at a current £40 ..... anyone know what these things 'end up as'?? Am I right in thinking that E-Bay prices streak ahead in the final few minutes of the auction?

They were good in their day, thats when you could listen to all the mobile phone conversations, then flick it up a frequency and listen to the next when you got board with the first. Still got a pro 26 myself and an exterior disk cone ariel on the roof.

About 30 notes i would say.

You can pick up a decent pro 2006 for £50 these days.

Btw there is a scanner on the market that you can use,and it picks up all Digital broadcast, with a few Modifications.

Do the search again then, and tick the "Completed listings" box to see what similar items actually finished at:

19th Aug - sold at £39 + £20(!!!!!!) P&P

26th Aug - sold at £51 + £2.50 P&P

28th Aug - didn't hit reserve, got to £36

So - looks like £40-£50 is about what you'll get.... on a good day.

That old chestnut died with the ark...

The wireless telegraphy act only covers you to RECEIVE broadcasts for which you are licensed..

IE 5 Terrestrial TV channels, and the fm / am / LW bands of radio

listening / recieving to other transmissions is an offense

They have misrepresented the law there Mart. Much as the DVLA site now does with regards to number plate sizes required for JDM cars...
